20 minutes seems to be the standard length for heavy petting albums. "i just think its a good length for an album that's all." download it from its webpageor right here i might be dying.zipthanks for listening
a little over a week after demon attack emailed me his new album, i received a regular-mail letter from him. well, i was in west virginia and i just got back last night. so it could have been there for days. i assume so, since he claims to have sent it last week. it didn't surprise me to get a letter from him after he finished his album because handwritten letters have always been his preferred method of communication. with me at least. we've corresponded on dozens of occasions by mail. even when we used to be next door neighbors. he'd still put a stamp on an envelope and have the post office process it. i think he just likes the idea of writing a letter, sealing it up, and hanging it on his mailbox with a clothespin for the mail(wo)man. so i wasn't at all surprised to get his letter. the envelope had red fingerprints on it. i assumed that he had been finger painting or something. i didn't imagine that they were bloody fingerprints. but they were, i realized after a closer inspection. i didn't have time to take the envelope down to the lab on 17th for dna and fingerprint tests, but i'm positive they were his bloody fingerprints. i opened up the envelope and found this letter, which i've taken the liberty of scanning for this blog.
i don't think demon attack will mind that i'm posting this on the internet. we're pretty close -- demon attack and i. so he'll understand why i'm posting this. maybe you, the reader, don't understand why i'm posting this. first of all, it's for demon attack. when he reads this, i think he'll know that all of us killer buds care about him as an artist and as a person. we know that his "demons" affect him emotionally in ways we don't understand, but we also know that this struggle is necessary in order for him to write and record such fantastic music. so maybe reading this will help demon attack in some way. second, i'm posting this for the fans. they deserve to see the side of demon attack that doesn't show up in his music or in his press releases or in his photo shoots. knowing the real demon attack makes the music that much better. and lastly, i'm posting this for me. i try to make it a rule to separate my personal relationships from my business relationships. but the truth is that demon attack is a dear friend of mine, and i don't publicly acknowledge this fact very often.
