professional cheerleaders: story weather
it was like three shooting-stars, each at the height of their respective trajectories, colliding.
a year ago today, heavy petting, drunken boats and demon attack formed a super-group (demon attack called it a super-nova group). they decided to write, record and perform songs together; they vowed to take over the world. they called themselves professional cheerleaders and they were doomed from the start.
professional cheerleaders was a band for one afternoon. what started with enthusiasm end in bickering and, ultimately, violence. their egos to blame, according to mutual acquaintances and rock critics.
how professional cheerleaders describe the afternoon:
drunken boats: they’re just too unprofessional. they never wanted to do a second take no matter how shitty the first was.
heavy petting: those guys are assholes to work with. but they’re okay as friends.
demon attack couldn’t be reached for comment because he is dead.
the music recorded that afternoon was thought to be lost. but then it was uncovered in a shoebox titled “my fondest memories” found in demon attack’s closet after his death.
